About
I build castles in the air, and as a director, I turn them into films.
I grew up in underground visual culture, between skateboarding, graphic design, photography and video, and that is where my way of storytelling comes from, mixing different languages. After graduating, I was selected by Fabrica, Benetton’s communication research centre, and went on to attend the directing course at the National Film and Television School in London.
I started out shooting music videos, back when music videos still mattered. Today I work between auteur cinema and brands, bringing the same eye of my films to commercial projects, and the experience gained on commercial sets to my films. I have directed projects for Ferrari, Paul Smith, Saucony, Woolrich, Police and Fay Archive.
I wrote and directed short films selected at international festivals and awarded at the Berlin Commercial Awards, as well as AIDA, a documentary for Politecnico di Milano now streaming on RaiPlay. For me, cinema is a way to create empathy, and authenticity is where every story begins.
I live in Milan and teach at IED, SAE and Accademia Costume & Moda, where I lead courses in directing, visual culture and the relationship between fashion, cinema and music.
