ANNO ZERO

ANNO ZERO - Feature film

The day after tomorrow. Danil is a young nomad with a rare talent for cultivating Medea, the psychotropic plant of the new millennium. In a parched, repressive society, Medea's psychotropic yield is in high demand. After his secret greenhouse is raided, Danil seeks refuge in the borderlands between Italy and Slovenia. There, he encounters a tribe of ravers living by the ethos of T.A.Z. - Temporary Autonomous Zones - in a Cold War bunker. A deal is struck: Danil proposes to synthesize Medea in exchange for survival. As time passes, Danil becomes an integral part of the tribe. However, Medea's influence brings forth selfishness and internal strife. When dangerous Messengers, with whom they were once dealing, eventually threaten them, the tribe transforms into Danil's chosen family, one he will protect at all costs.
